We had a going away party for them at church this past Wednesday. I made the cake, which was supposed to have red accents and writing , but it came out more of a coral color! In spite of that, the party was a big success. The church gave them a generous love offering, which was a blessing!
Below are some photos of the party, and of the day they left. A couple of things eased the pain of separation for the kids: 1. Terry and Kathy bought "goodbye gifts" for all the kids. 2. We told the kids we plan to take a trip this summer to North Carolina to see my sister's family. They've never been there, and they are VERY excited. Melanie has three boys and a trampoline...need I say more?
The Party...
The kids had fun playing on the two wheeler!
Moving day...
Leslie got a doll that she can take a bath with!
Mitchell and Lauren got a gun. Mitch wanted to put on his western outfit for the photo!
Laci Elizabeth got a doll baby! She loves dolls! :o)
It was a sad day. We miss you, already, Grandma & Grandad!

The cake looks beautiful, and the icing looks red in the photo. I'm sure the Bashams loved their party. How did they like the scrapbook you made? That was so sweet of them to buy gifts for the children; the pictures are terrific. Surely makes me miss all of you, though.
I love you.
Everything looks fine!!!! Hey, cake is cake...yum!!!!
I am excited about your visit to NC, hopefully we can get around to lunch or something. Are you coming for the Sword? I know Melanie is thrilled.
Have a good week. Love,
Wendy
Awe your pictures are soo cute. I'm glad that the kids took it well and that your going to be able to do something new this year, like seeing your sister. What fun!
You can decorate a cake for me anytime! Me and icing [well to be frank] don't mix. lol
